Mabalauta is in the southern section of Gonarezhou, with giant baobabs and the wide Mwenezi River. It is more open and arid than the northern pools area. The camp has developed sites with braai points and running water. The ablution blocks are basic but have flush toilets and hot showers, a comfortable base in a very remote region. Nearby: Mwenezi River, Swimuwini rest camp.
