About

A safari camp in its own private conservancy close to the Hwange National Park boundary, reached via the Gwaai turn-off. It is rated 4.8 from 49 Google reviews and suits families and couples wanting a small, home-like base for game drives.

Guests talk most about the waterhole in front of camp. Elephants come to drink during dinner, impala and zebra pass through, and lions can be heard at night. A mother and daughter who stayed four nights in July 2026 did two game drives a day with a guide who kept searching until he found the lion cubs they had asked about. Other sightings in the reviews include a lion kill and wild dog. Rooms range from rustic cabins with tree trunks through the floor to luxury cabins, a family cabin and self-catering tents. The main building has lounges, books, games and a plunge pool, with a fire pit at night.

The one warning is the drive. A visitor coming from Harare found the road from Bulawayo very bad, says a 4x4 is essential as far as the Gwaai turn-off, and recommends a night in Bulawayo first.
