About

Mlibizi Zambezi Resort is a self-catering stop at Mlibizi, on the Binga side of Lake Kariba, used by travellers catching the Kariba ferry. Most people who review it are campers or chalet guests spending a night before or after the crossing.

Those who stayed are mostly warm about it. Campers describe a lush, shady campsite that is well kept, and one wished they had booked a few nights rather than one. Staff are repeatedly called friendly and helpful. Chalet guests found their rooms clean and ready, and one liked the old colonial-style buildings and the fully equipped kitchen. Another guest singles out the birdlife and an afternoon boat ride.

One camper saw a different side. They found the place deserted, the pool green, old boats and houseboats abandoned along the shore and no restaurants operating despite what the website says, with campsites small, cramped and without a lake view. Come self-sufficient with your own food. Rated 4.2 from 20 Google reviews.

“What an amazing spot! We came to camp the night before our ferry but this place was a little hidden Eden. Staff are so friendly and helpful and campsite is lush and shady. Would definitely come back again for a few nights!”
