About
Rollers is a family entertainment centre in Harare with two branches. Greenfields, at Greenfields Retail Centre on the corner of Samora Machel Avenue and Hampden Street, has roller skating, bowling, virtual reality, PlayStation gaming and a café. Pomona, at Bay 4, Pomona Commercial Centre on the corner of Alpes Road and Harare Drive, has roller skating, soft play, bumper cars, VR laser tag, bowling and arcade games. Both run birthday party and school packages.
It suits families, groups of friends and couples looking for a lively outing. Greenfields is rated 4.6 from over 550 Google reviews, and the staff get the most praise. Several reviewers say instructors patiently taught them or their children to skate. One first-timer says a staff member stayed with them until they got the hang of it. Waiting staff also get warm mentions. Visitors describe a lively, fun place, cold drinks, and food from the café that some rate highly. One group recommends the sharing platter.
Pomona is rated 4.2 from 45 Google reviews. Skating is the favourite there too, with the arcade, bowling and food close behind, and staff are described as friendly and helpful.
The one repeated complaint at both branches is price. One parent whose children had a great time at Greenfields says the food in particular is expensive, and a group at Pomona thought the bumper cars poor value for a ride of about three minutes. Set a budget before you go, especially with a group.
At Pomona, activities are paid for with a Rollers Play Card, and annual memberships give bonus points and café discounts.
