The same group of six booked a Chobe excursion: a transfer to the border, an easy crossing into Botswana and a safari with a guide on the other side. They saw elephants, hippos, giraffes, crocodiles and kudu, and came across eight lions sleeping together after a kill. Stargazing was on offer too, though a hazy sky meant they left it for another trip.
