About

A Bulawayo park with wide lawns, tall shade trees and a fountain that is a favourite spot for photographs. It is rated 3.5 from over 1,400 Google reviews and suits families after a picnic or anyone needing fresh air in town.

One resident who has known the park since childhood was glad to see it being cleaned up and used again, and says the grounds look good. Visitors mention a children's area with slides, swings and a see-saw, plus a skating rink. Photographers are usually about if you want pictures taken. It draws a crowd at weekends and is quiet on weekdays, and one family says it is at its best around Christmas, with carollers, nativity plays and festive displays.

There are two cautions. Some visitors feel it still needs better maintenance. More seriously, one reviewer warns against being alone there in the evening, as several people have been mugged. Google lists it as dog-friendly, with a wheelchair-accessible entrance and car park.
