About
Chimanimani National Park takes in the Chimanimani mountains and is, above all, a place for hikers. It rates 4.6 from 19 Google reviews.
Walkers are its biggest fans. One regular describes a wide choice of trails, some long enough to fill up to ten days, and treats a hike here as the best kind of therapy: exercise and sightseeing in one. Others call it the most beautiful place in Zimbabwe and remark on how peaceful it is.
Getting in has been a problem before. A visitor writing after Cyclone Idai found the bridge washed away and had to walk the last 3 kilometres to the park, and only when the river level allowed. Conditions may well have changed since, so check the state of the access road before you set off.
