About
Gosho Park is a small private game park near Marondera, close to the entrance to Peterhouse Girls' School on the Mutare road. One visitor puts it about 10 kilometres from Marondera town. Rated 4.3 from 54 Google reviews, it suits a day out from Harare, an educational group trip or a night in the bush.
Visitors come for the animals and the quiet. Reviewers list zebra, giraffe, wildebeest, sable, kudu, impala and monkeys, and describe driving themselves around once they have paid at the gate. The paths are easy to walk, and more than one visitor mentions rock paintings. One guest who stayed over describes a two-bedroom unit sleeping four, with a small kitchen and fridge and a solar set-up for lighting, and another notes a campsite.
Sort out payment before you go. One visitor who drove out from Harare found that transfers were not accepted, then that there was no change when they paid cash, with nobody at the school to call for help. Another suggests August is not the month to go if you want to see water.
